Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation wants to hear from people who have seen deer who appear to be sick or acting abnormally.
The DEC is investigating white-tail deer that appear to have died from unknown causes. Recently, the DEC identified an uncommon bacterial disease in deer from Warren County in New York’s Capital Region.
Now the agency is seeking additional information. Deer with the disease may have a swollen head or neck and may have excessive drooling or nasal discharge.
