Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- An effort to build a memorial to honor the victim’s of last month’s shooting spree in Herkimer County is underway.
The Herkimer Police Benevolent Association is raising money to build the memorial. They’re selling T-shirts and hooded sweatshirts with a canine paw on the front and the name “Ape” written inside. The shirts feature the police K9 prayer on the back.
Ape is the police dog that was shot by the suspect, Kurt Meyers.
