We need to make sure that those getting this assistance don't have cable TV, that they don't have big screen televisions, that if the have cell phones that they have the most basic plans, etc. people need to understand that necessities come first.

to you people who complain that you have to work two, three jobs, stop partying so much or stop buying expensive food or what ever you do.i am a single mother of 3, two living at home never once got child support, and make 10 dollars an hour and i do just fine.i forget about buying my children new clothes through out the year.i do once at the beginning of the school.ive raised them to know fancy things are not the answer to being a good person.yes i get heap.no i dont get food stamps.could but dont choices to.yes some people need it others dont.just stay at your mean .even if that mean get out of your 600 dollar a month apt.that does not even provide heat...its because you have to have the best.thats the problem.live a day in my shoes and mabey youd realize spending over your means is the problem

It pays to be on welfare.... If you stick out your hand, they will send you checks for everything....About 30% of these people who get this actually deserve it....

rayjay, exactly...I don't want to pull her out this close to finishing and move her to where she knows no one her age...right after she walks across that stage and has that diploma in hand we are heading south!...

$700 won't buy much fuel oil this year. That means my suckbag, welfare rat, have not worked in years, fish all day, party all night, neighbors will be going south this winter early while I'll keep working my azz off to feed, cloth, shelter and keep my family warm and partially pay for their's too. Thanks Patterson and Albany/NYC SoComs for promoting the welfare economy that keeps these people here. -and- you wonder why this state is swirling down the toilet... As soon as my youngest is out of high school, we're OUTTA HERE!

I read that those on welfare already got their applications in the mail...not a fair way of doling out the money...of course they will get it before the working poor...that sucks!...

Would not need these kind of programs if working people were paid decent wages... Stop allowing greedy B*stards all the wealth.... Keep the bible thumpers in church and use birth control.
