DeWitt (WSYR-TV) -- Modified spring sports will continue in the Jamesville-DeWitt School District.
Parents and boosters have raised $48,000 to save the modified teams. Parents have been fighting to keep the modified sports teams so that students and seventh and eighth grade can get the practice to move up to the JV and varsity level.
The money also saves some coaching positions within the district.
And though modified spring sports have been saved, the group is looking to raise funds for fall and winter modified sports as well.
