Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - For most people turning 65 is supposed to mean time for retire, but for more and more seniors that isn’t the case.

We all would like to picture retirement as a time to kick back, do whatever we want, and not worry about money.

Unfortunately, the statistics are showing that more and more people are having to work during their retirement. In fact, if you look at all people over 65, 15% of them are in the workplace. That’s of all people 65 and over, 15% of them are still working!

For sure some of them are probably working because they want to but of that 15%, 1/3 of them are working full time and probably because they have to earn that paycheck. In fact, of this group 30% of their entire income is coming from having to work out there.

If you want to avoid having to work when you’re 65 and have the dream retirement, then the best thing you can start doing right now is saving. Start saving right now and as much as possible.
