To all of you making IGNORANT comments, there are family members that read these things...you do not know what the facts are and this is a sad situation for all involved...grow up and get lives...hopefully when something bad happens in your family no one will be as ignorant to/about you...

I WILL NOT BUY INSURANCE, AND I WONT BE PAYING A FINE. SO TRY TO TAKE ME TO JAIL, I WONDER WHO THEY WILL SEND TO THE HOMES OF PEOPLE THAT REFUSE TO PAY THE FINE.THE POLICE OR THE IRS, IF I WAS A COP AND THIS GOES INTO EFFECT, I WOULD FIND A DIFFERENT JOB BECAUSE YOUR LIFE WILL BE IN DANGER!!!!!

See what i mean? Nonoisdome is doing it now. It's not going to be france, or canada. If it were, it'd be medicare for more and save even MORE MONEY. But no, we're keeping the system we have now and changing it so it doesn't suck when you get sick and are forced into bankrupcy, where health care isn't something only the wealthy can afford.

Phantom - The majority of americans agree with the parts of the bill when you ask about the individual parts. If you ask about the bill , which contains all the parts together, do people turn against it. Part of it, is because of the awful distorting lies that get spread because of limbaugh or beck saying that it'll kill grandma, or raises the deficit and such. It doesn't. The other part, is because liberals were enraged that it didn't contain a public option and were dissatisfied with it. Once this passes, polling will improve since most liberals are falling in line, just like how hillary hold outs fell in line to support obama after the primaries.

Channel 9 statement: “As part of the agreement, Med-Rev Recoveries will have to pay $35,000 in restitution and fines and overhaul their business practices to make sure they're complying with all state and federal debt collecting laws.” $35,000.00 to a $22 million a year business is pocket change. What overhaul? What was done, and being done different? If you check for complaints on Med-Rev Recoveries, all of the issues still exist. A follow up investigation on this issue would be a good idea. Also a follow up report by channel 9 as well, because nothing has changed. As far as collectors being nice or not: It all depends o the collector you talk to. If a collector is threatened that they will loose their job if they don’t collect enough money, they are going to do what they can to get the money from the debtor. It’s nothing personal, but I can’t feed my child if I loose my job. With no medical or dental coverage, my base pay is barely enough to live on as it is. Contrary to popular belief, collectors don’t get a percentage of the money they collect; the company gets it all. It IS the company’s policy to tell collectors get the money, or they will find someone else who will. Please keep in mind that it’s not just the debtor that’s struggling to survive. Everyday collectors are struggling to just keep their jobs so they won’t go into debt. It’s a dog eat dog world, and the collectors and debtors are the puppies. We are equals in this situation. The debt collection company’s policies are at fault. The Attorney Generals offices poor attempt at resolution of the existing issues, and their neglect of a follow up, is to blame. Consider this a challenge to channel 9 to follow up on the promise of so-called overhauled Med-Rev business practices.
