Motivated by her second chance at life, Mary Cook created the CNY Brain Aneurysm Awareness Campaign. Cook partnered with fellow educator, Mary Albanese, to raise awareness within the Central New York community about this issue. A brain aneurysm is a health complication that prevents blood from flowing into the brain. Their first annual Brain Aneurysm event, Melt Away the Midwinter Blues is Friday, February 10th from 6pm to 10pm at Barbagallo’s Restaurant in East Syracuse. Tickets are available at the door for $45 per person. For more information you can visit their website here.
