Jennifer Savastino, special events coordinator of the Syracuse Challenger Baseball Program & member of DeWitt Carrier Park Committee, is joined by Challenger Parents, Tracy Wall and Shelia Del Toro, and their two children Parker Wall and Brittaney Del Toro. By 2014, Savastino plans to have a completed outdoor, multi-sport and wellness complex built on 28 acres of land donated by the Carrier Corporation to the Town of DeWitt.

The complex will include handicap accessible fields for the purpose of playing tennis, football, baseball, soccer, lacrosse and various other sports. The Willis Carrier Recreation Center, chosen name for the complex, will serve as the home for the Syracuse Challenger Baseball Program, which supports the developmental, physical and emotional disabilities of children ages 5-21.
