Lavender is in the air! Stroll through more than 150 miles of fragrant lavender fields at the third annual Finger Lakes Lavender Festival. The festival is taking place on Saturday, July 10th and Sunday, July 11th, from 9am to 4pm. The two-day event is being held at Lockwood Farm, located at 1682 West Lake Road in Skaneateles.
The event is a celebration of all the wonders of lavender as well as an event that knits together local, talented artisans. Workshops will be held on how to grow, prune, care and harvest lavender. The festival offers outstanding photographic opportunities throughout the grounds and at the workshops.
Festival Schedule:
9:00am: Festival opens
9:00am - 4pm: Cut your own fresh lavender from over 16 varieties ($5.00/bunch). The lavender market will be open to shop. Offering all natural lavender products.
9:00am - 4:00pm: Local artists will be showing and selling their art work. Refreshments will be provided by Creekside Books & Coffee for purchase.
10:00am: Learn how to grow, prune, care and harvest lavender.
2:00pm: Make your own lavender wand. Lavender, ribbon and materials will be available for $5.00 each.
Directions to Lockwood Farm: From the village of Skaneateles take Kane Road/41A. Continue south on West Lake Road/41A 8 miles. Past the hamlet of Mandana, we are the first farm past fire lane 50 on the left hand side.
