February 8th is the first ever National Girl Scout Cookie Day! The new national holiday raises awareness for the Girl Scout Cookie Program. The Girl Scout Coookie program builds 5 essential life skills: goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills, and business ethics.
Each year 200 million cookie packages are sold. All the proceeds fund the Gift of Caring Program, which finance important community projects.
- Cost of cookies: $3.50 per box
- When: Feb. 16 and run through March 20
- Where: Girl Scout cookies will be sold in malls and stores.
