Helping "man's best friend" find loving homes! Kathy Gilmour, Director of Helping Hounds, stopped by the Bridge Street studio this morning with a loveable (and adoptable) pup, Madge!
Helping Hounds is a 4-year-old organization helping to transport dogs from high kill shelters in states around the country. The dogs are taken from the shelters and put into a foster program in order to assess their medical, emotional, and behavioral state.
This organization relies on support from the Syracuse community. Local residents are welcome to volunteer, drop off donations, and of course adopt the dogs!
This weekend you can come show your support by participating in The Fourth Annual Bark at Cedar Bay Park benefit! There will be adoptable dogs on site for meet and greets, a doggie photo booth, DJ Dave Anthony, food, games, and a special Alumni Parade for the many dogs who have now found loving homes.
