Mended Little Hearts is national organization turned local.  Inspired by her daughter’s struggle with congenital heart disease, Judy Walsh along with other parents who have the same struggles, have joined together to create a local chapter of the support group. Congenital heart disease is known as a defect within the heart’s structure and function due to abnormal development before birth. The group’s mission “is to emotionally support families who have learned that their child has a heart problem. We also strive to bring awareness and education to the community about congenital heart defects.” Mended Little Hearts of Syracuse meets the third Wednesday of each month at 6:30pm at the Onondaga Free Library. For more information call 315-468-2805 or visit their website here.
