Folks music arrived on Bridge Street this morning! The group "Folkstrings" performed the Beatles' song, "When I'm 64," cleverly changing the lyrics to "when I'm 84."
The band is an acoustical folk group that has performed in Central New York since 1992. Folkstrings members, Bill Hider, Mary Kester, Mike Kester, and Andre Revutsky, combine their musical talents to create a unique sound found in all four of their released CDs. The band plays a variety of music from folk, bluegrass, gospel, and show tunes from the 1960's & 70's.
Folkstrings will be playing live at the Summer Solstice Garden Tour and Plant Sale
on June 22nd. The event also includes self-guided tours of the beautiful private gardens, an evergreen maze, and The Open Hand Puppet Theatre. The CNY Land Trust, which is committed to preserving natural areas in the CNY area, is putting on the event. Summer Solstice Garden Tour and Plant Sale
