Chef Michael from Dolce Vita World Bistro, on East Genesee Street in Syracuse, shared a simple recipe with us:
1 8oz tuna
1/2 tsp black seasame seeds
a pinch of salt and pepper
1/2 tsp oil
Put oil in saute pan on medium heat. Season tuna with s/p. Place tuna in black sesame seeds so that the seeds adhere to the tuna. Pan sear both sides for 30 seconds each. Remove tuna from pan, let it rest for a minute, and then slice into 5 pieces at an angle.
