Christie Casciano brings valuable experience and a community-minded spirit to NewsChannel 9.
She attended grade school, high school and even college in Syracuse. A recipient of many news and community awards, Christie is proud of the time she spends working with charities in Central New York and mentoring students.
Christie's reporting focuses on profiling Central New York criminals; she asks viewers to be "On The Lookout" for suspects profiled each week in her Fugitive of the Week and Caught on Tape reports. Her efforts have helped law enforcement catch dozens of wanted suspects.
Christie has been honored with numerous awards, including the 2007 Syracuse Press Club’s Professional Standards Award.
She anchors NewsChannel 9 at 10:00 on digital channel 9.2, and Eleven at 11:00 each weeknight with Rod Wood.
