Sal joined NewsChannel 9 Sports in November 2007 as a producer, and now reports and anchors.
Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Sal is no stranger to Central New York. His parents are from Utica, where much of his family still lives.
Sal came to Syracuse to study broadcast journalism at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. While at SU, he got his start in sports at Citrus TV, and covered SU athletics for WAER radio.
Previously, Sal interned in Houston for the NBC affiliate, KPRC, and for the NPR affiliate, KUHF, in addition to doing work for ESPN and Inside Lacrosse.
