(6:00 pm Friday May 17th) It still may be more than a week away but we are starting to see signs of the overall pattern for the upcoming Memorial Day weekend. Nothing is set in stone, but here are early thoughts. (5:15 pm Monday May 13th) The weather has certainly taken a turn after the very warm weather of last week. Freeze warnings are up for parts of central New York for Tuesday morning. Just how unusual is frost this time of year? (5:45 pm Tuesday May 7th) While the sunny dry weather to start the month of May is nice is it record-breaking? We've crunched the numbers to find out. (6:00 pm Thursday May 2nd)Our blocking high is in place and we've got a great weekend in store. However, this block will eventually break down. Here is our thinking of when that might happen. (5:45 pm Wednesday May 1st)While central New York is basking in sun and warmth it is a much different story over the middle part of the country where dramatic changes are the norm. (5:15 pm Monday April 29th) We got a nice taste of warm, dry Spring weather this past weekend. That looks like preview of a much longer stretch of warmer weather as a blocking pattern sets up in the eastern United States starting during the middle of the week. (10:30 am Thursday April 25th) We are getting closer and closer to the start of the growing season and at this point it seems water is not an issue for central New York. (6:00 pm Monday April 22nd) We won't be riding as much of a rollercoaster this week as central New York temperatures stay closer to normal. (11:00 am Wednesday April 17th) While we enjoy typical early spring weather here in central New York, the middle of the United States will see severe weather AND snow from a Spring storm. (5;30 pm Tuesday April 16th)While the weather of the past few days AND the next few days in central New York might make it seem like Mother Nature can't make up her mind it is actually very typical weather for this time of year.
