Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – More aerial spraying is planned in Oswego County after both Eastern Equine Encephalitis and West Nile Virus were found in pools of mosquitoes.
The Oswego County Health Department says four pools tested positive for EEE.
- One in the town of New Haven
- One near the village of Central Square
- Two in the Toad Harbor Swamp area of West Monroe
West Nile Virus was also found in the village of Central Square.
Aerial spraying plans are underway in the areas were EEE was found according to health officials.
Until then, people are being warned to protect themselves against mosquitoes.
