Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - Why are some women born natural mothers and other have a hard time bonding with their babies.
Did you know there could be a mom gene?
Researchers studying mice determined there’s a single gene that could be responsible for motivating mothers to protect, feed, and raise their young.
The study’s findings mean there could be a valid explanation as to why some women – like TV’s Carol Brady – seem born to be maternal figures, while others, like Mad Men’s Betty Draper, come across as detached and cold.
