Might as well buy organic......it makes me sick just thinking about it.. So if you have the money to buy the better foods great! if not your stuck with whatever chemicals they decide to dump off into things to "preserve" them.. I only buy veggies from local farm markets i freeze them for the winter. Time to start buying all food from local farms... this is sad

This information has been out for some time on water bottles and a couple yrs ago there was a huge BPA freak out because of the amount of BPA in baby bottles. I guess this is just more fuel for the fire. How can we yell at China for putting lead in toys when our own companies do this? It's so hard to feel safe buying anything anymore.

If anyone gets a chance - pick up the latest copy of Consumer Reports that came out the other day. It has more in-depth information & gives a more comprehensive list of affected products and what the levels are. I'm surprised channel 9's article mentions to buy kids boxed juice....box juicy juice was one of the things affected.

The really scary part is that we are at the mercy of the food industry; they are playing Russian roulex with our health and we are taking a gamble every time we consume something that we think is safe. This really scares me tremendously!

i guess we don't have to worry about plastic water bottle nickel returns, this information will kill the water bottle industry.

Is anything even safe anymore??? Everything gives us cancer now.

This is such a huge frustration to me. It dosen't matter what we eat or drink, our health is always at risk, we never know if anything is safe anymore and are putting our trust and confidence in companies that end up not even deserving of it. This article scares me! Does this mean that everything that the companies listed manufacture that is canned has this chemical? I purchase so many different soups, you name it from Campbell's. Ideally, fresh and frozen are better, however, they are not always available and fresh vegetables and fruits are much more expensive; they also lose their nutrients very quickly which make canned and frozen better options.
