Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- What are the healthiest sandwiches? If you said turkey or chicken, you'd be right, unless they're from some of the most popular lunch spots.

Panera signature chipotle chicken turns what should be a lean sandwich into a calorie bomb with 830 calories and 37 grams of fat, with as much sodium as you should get in a whole day. You’d be better off with the smoked turkey on whole grain bread.

Subway is known for low cal choices, but what would Jared say about the double meatball sub. It has 860 calories and 42 grams of fat, not to mention 2480mg of sodium. You’d be better off with the black forest ham with 290 calories.

Wendy’s is known for chicken sandwiches, but watch out for the asiago ranch club. Three strips of bacon, cheese and mayo push the calorie count to 660. A better choice is the ultimate grilled chicken. It has honey mustard instead of mayo and 360 calories, with just seven grams of fat.
