Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- Supplements used for weight loss and to build muscle could be linked to liver damage, according to a new study.
Researchers focused on the amount of green tea abstract present in the most common dietary supplements. They found that in 40 percent of products, green tea was commonly present, but never listed on the label.
Researchers say that based on the study, they now believe that body building and weight loss supplements are among the common causes of dietary supplement induced injury.
