It's hard to get all the Vitamin D you need from foods, but in Monday’s edition of Food for Thought, there are certain foods that are very good sources.
Fish tops the list; including salmon, halibut, sardines and trout. Also on the list is soymilk, fortified orange juice and the vegetable with the highest levels of Vitamin D is mushrooms.
Milk is also a good source of Vitamin D, as are cereals. This is just the latest in a series of studies that have linked low levels of Vitamin D to disease and points to supplements as a way to protect our health.
