Thanks Eric. Sunshine helps your body convert cholesterol to real vitamin D. The additives they put into food couldn't compare.

Food is actually a horrible source of vitamin D if you are treating a deficiency. Foods are fortified to prevent rickets but the amount in milk and orange juice will not get a persons levels up above 32 ng/ml if they are deficient. Ask your physician to check your blood levels. Higher levels of vitamin D are associated with less breast cancer, colon cancer, prostate cancer, heart disease, multiple sclerosis and more.
