Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- The State Department of Health has rolled out a new program offering free health advice to expectant mothers via text message.

The text messages will give expectant mothers important information to promote good health for their babies.

Those who sign up for the program will receive three free text messages each week. The texts will offer tips on nutrition and immunizations, and will even be timed to the mothers’ due date or baby’s date of birth.

They can also help connect expectant mothers to services like prenatal and infant care.

If you’re interested in receiving the free text messages you can sign up by texting BABY to 511411 (BEBE for Spanish) or online at text4baby.org.
