(WSYR-TV) -- If you’re one of those people who crave carbs late in the afternoon, did you know you should give in to that craving?
Researchers at MIT have found that when carbohydrate-craving volunteers had a high carb snack, they showed measurable improvements in mood, concentration and energy levels.
Try a sweet and starchy snack of about 120 calories and 25-30 grams of carbs, like the simple carbs will boost mood right away, while complex carbs take longer to digest, making them a “time-release” happy pill.
