Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- Get a little too much sun this weekend? Did you know a little milk can help you heal?

For a mild sunburn that stings and causes discomfort, the Skin Cancer Foundation says make a cold compress with milk.

Soak a clean cloth in a bowl with equal parts milk, ice cubes and water. Then, hold the cloth on the burned area for five minutes and repeat three times. The fat and protein and PH of milk have a soothing anti-inflammatory effect on the skin.
