Maybe the gov should open a restaurant. It would only serve diet sodas and weight watchers factory made frozen meals.

What bothers me is that the Governor is spending so much time on the way NY Stater's look that if he doesn't watch out we will have the thinnest state in the union because everyone will have left to look for jobs elsewhere.

Why not just close drive thrus so people have to get out of their cars to get the food!

Why are people so bent out of shape on this. If you don't care, don't look, no one is forcing you. It is somewhat shocking when you do look at these lists in NYC. You definitely think twice about certain items on the menu.

I don't think it is up to government to tell me what the calorie intake is. If I get the chance to even go out to eat right now it is like a mini vacation I don't want it spoiled by government man dates. paterson should worry about how to keep people in their jobs so they can feed their families at home without help from food stamps.

This college educated backside muncher is toatally off his rocker. Were all going broke, losing our homes, losing our jobs, and the best that this blind idiot can do is require calorie info on our happy meals. This speaks volumes of all college educated people out there. You have NO clue what is important. Keep taxing us to death to pay off your city whores and pimps, then make a feel good law about calories? Your professors should be hung for teaching you that this is the way to run a gov't.

I think this is a great idea. There's nothing wrong with putting information out there. If busy restaurants in NYC can do it, so can everywhere else. I'm sure people will still choose to eat those 540 calorie big macs that have 29g of fat but at least those of us interested in making healthy food choices will be able to do so without guessing.
