Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- How many calories will you consume on Thanksgiving? Did you know dinner alone adds up to more calories than people should eat all day?

The New York Times did the math:

6 ounces of turkey with crispy skin = 300 calories
Sausage stuffing = 310 calories
A well-buttered dinner roll = 310 calories
Sweet-potato casserole = 300 calories
Mashed potatoes with gravy and butter = 140 calories
And a few greens and cranberry sauce = 208 calories

Dessert was a killer, naturally, with all the pies and whipped cream.

Pumpkin pie = 316 calories
Pecan pie = 503 Calories
And whipped cream = 100 calories

All together, your Thanksgiving dinner and dessert comes to 2,486 calories. Needless to say eat a light breakfast and try to take a walk after dinner. But most of all -- ENJOY!
