Plastic surgeries decline as non-invasive procedures grow more popular
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - Plastic surgeries that require going under the knife have stalled but that hasn't stopped people from trying to improve their looks.
Less invasive makeovers are becoming more popular. Procedures such as Botox and laser hair removal have increased by 20 percent in the last five years.
You have to get Botox injections every five months but it only costs around $370 a session compared to $3,300 for a surgical forehead lift.
It can cost anywhere from $300 to $700 to have teeth whitened at the dentist but you can cut costs by using over the counter whiteners.
Laser hair removal sessions average about $330 and can take up to five visits.
But there are also home-kits that take longer but can save money.
About 13 million Americans tried one of these last year with one million of them being men.
