Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- For many people, winter means dry skin, which could lead to all sorts of bacteria. But did you know there are a few things you can do to help prevent it?
Dermatologists say use creams and soaps with moisturizers to keep skin soft. Apply them when the skin is damp and avoid those with alcohol or perfumes. Also, keep away from taking long, hot baths during the winter.
If your skin still becomes dry and seriously inflamed, the best thing to do is see your doctor.
