Report: More people need to take part in research studies

If your doctor asked you to take part in a research study, would you do it? Too few people are saying yes. A study in the Journal of the American Medical Association looks at the shortage of people enrolled in medical studies, and why it matters.

Everyone that uses pharmaceuticals is participating in a research study.....ha-ha.

Most of the "research" is funded by drug companies, looking for yet more drugs to push on the public. Typically what they get is: patentable = big profits serious side effects = they'll sell you other drugs do not cure -> just alleviate symptoms curing = bad for business
