Researchers: Sleep disorders can lead to health problems

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - If someone you know kicks and punches you while they are sleeping, it may be because they have something called REM Behavior Disorder, or RBD.

RBD is an extremely rare disorder, but now researchers say they have identified some of the risk factors that can be a pre-cursor to diseases like Parkinson’s.

The study from the American Academy of Neurology found that more than half of people with RBD develop neuro-degenerative disease.
