Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- The flu is going around again in a few communities around Central New York.
Let’s check in with local doctors, starting in Syracuse.
Syracuse: Brighton Hill Pediatrics says after a couple of months with very little flu, doctors there say they’ve seen a remarkable number of children with flu this week. There’s also a virus going around with a fever and pink eye.
Cicero: Dr. Terasaka is seeing pink eye. He says it’s from allergies or pollen and mold. He’s also seeing a cough with a cold that hangs on and can lead to sinus and ear infections. Children with asthma are reacting to the change in weather with flareups.
Pulaski: Dr. Carguello says he’s still seeing some flu, along with the stomach bug and upper respiratory infections.
Fulton: The Urgent Care is seeing some flu, the stomach bug, upper respiratory infections and sinusitis as well.
Liverpool: Dr. Dracker checks in with the stomach bug, ear infections, bronchitis and coughs.
Auburn: Sore throats – both strep and viral – are going around, as well as sinus infections, bronchitis and a few cases of the flu.
