Study links lack of sleep to Alzheimer’s disease
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - Researchers say older adults who don’t sleep well could be showing early warnings sign of Alzheimer’s disease.
The study from Johns Hopkins suggests older adults who don't sleep well have more of the brain plaques that are hallmarks of Alzheimer's disease.
The study may point to sleep disturbance as something that can be a modifiable risk factor that can be leveraged to prevent Alzheimer's disease.
