Study suggests new breakthrough treatment for leukemia
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - A new study indicates that there may be a new breakthrough in treating lymphocytic leukemia.
The drug is called Idrutinib, and if patients take it, they could feel fewer side effects from chemotherapy.
Right now, the drug is being tested on tumors that affect the immune system.
And the study showed the drug doesn’t seem to affect the body’s t-cells so patients experience fewer side effects from chemotherapy.
