For tonight's "Doctor on Call" question, we go to Oswego.  This viewer writes,

We're going to the Jersey Shore next week and I want to stock up on sunscreen. Aside from a high SPF, what ingredients should I look for?

There are a few ingredients to look for. Parsol 1789 and Aveobenzone will both protect you from the UVA rays which cause skin cancer and wrinkles. There's another ingredient that prevents the sunscreen from breaking down in the sun, it's called Mexoryl. Products that list Mexoryl tend to be the most stable.
