Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- Flu season is just around the corner and already drugstores and doctors' offices have supplies of this year’s vaccine.

But is it too early to get the flu shot?

The Centers for Disease Control says you can get the shot now and still be protected for the entire season, which typically lasts from October through May.

The CDC suggests that everyone six months of age and older get a yearly vaccine. They also recommend that you do it as soon as possible, in case of an early outbreak.
