Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- Doctors’ offices are a little quieter this week after a crazy couple of weeks with colds, coughs and sore throats.

As we check in to see What’s Going Around this week, doctors in Liverpool say pink eye is running rampant right now. Doctors are also seeing babies wheezing with RSV, sore throats, strep and coughs.

In Camillus, Dr. Rovall is seeing tons of pink eye as well and it’s been going around for several weeks now. They’re also checking in with colds and a cough.

Syracuse Brighton Hill Pediatrics says there’s a virus going around with a fever and sore throat. It lasts three to four days. Other kids have strep throat and those with asthma are having a tough time right now.

In Auburn, doctors are seeing sore throats – both strep and viral. There’s also some pneumonia going around, along with sinusitis and the stomach bug.

And in Pulaski, Dr. Carguello is seeing sore throats and an upper respiratory infection that looks like the flu, but tests negative.

What’s Going Around is our way of letting you know what illnesses are out there. Your own doctor can tell you about the best treatment.
