Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- If someone in your house is coughing, they have “What’s Going Around.” From croup to colds, to upper respiratory infections, everything this week comes with a cough.

Checking in with doctors in Camillus, Dr. Rovall says there’s a terrible cold going around with a cough and congestion. It lasts more than a week. Kids with asthma are having a tough time as well; several have even been admitted to the hospital.

In Liverpool, Dr. Dracker is seeing croup, bronchitis, strep throat and allergies.

In Syracuse, Brighton Hill Pediatrics checks in with coughs and croup.

In Fulton, Urgent Care reports a flu like illness with a sore throat, body aches and a high fever, but it’s not the flu. They’re also seeing an increase in strep throat.

In Pulaski, Dr. Carguello checks in with an upper respiratory infection and allergies.

And, In Auburn, doctors are seeing an upper respiratory infection, colds, sore throats – both strep and viral – and ear infections.

“What’s Going Around” is our way of letting you know what illnesses are out there. Your own doctor can tell you about the best treatments.
