Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- If someone in your family is sick right now, you’re not alone. Local doctors’ offices are packed with people with sore throats and coughs.

In Syracuse, Brighton Hill Pediatrics is seeing a virus with a fever and a cough that hangs on for a couple of weeks. They’re also seeing kids with asthma and allergies.

In Camillus, Dr. Rovall says that same cough is going around there. It lingers for at least a week. They’re also seeing sore throats, both strep and viral, and older kids have a headache, along with a sore throat.

In Fulton, Urgent Care checks in with an upper respiratory infection and colds.

In Liverpool, Dr. Dracker says there are lots of colds going around; other kids have bronchitis and those with allergies are suffering.

In Auburn, doctors are seeing an upper respiratory infection, sore throats, both strep and viral, and sinusitis.

In Pulaski, Dr. Carguello is seeing sore throats, a stomach bug and allergies.

What’s Going Around is our way of letting you know what illnesses are out there. Your own doctor can tell about the best treatments.
