Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – There's a lot of illness "Going Around" in Central New York, but our doctors say there's hardly any flu at all.
In Camillus, Dr. Rovall says there's a virus with a high fever between 103 and 104 degrees. Kids have also been seen for having a headache and vomiting. Other kids have sore throats.
Sore throats are big in Liverpool as well. Dr. Dracker says they're viral, not strep. He's also seeing upper respiratory infections and RSV in babies.
RSV is also going around in the city of Syracuse. Brighton Pediatrics also checks in with sore throats.
In Cicero, Dr. Terasaka is seeing pink eye, coughs, and ear infections.
Auburn is the only place where the flu is going around. Doctors are also seeing strep and viral sore throats, pneumonia, and bronchitis.
In Pulaski, Dr. Carguello is seeing the stomach bug and upper respiratory infections with a fever.
What's Going Around is our way of letting you know what illnesses are out there. Your own doctor can tell you about the best treatments.
