Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - Lots of sore throats and coughs are going around in Central New York, according to local doctors.
In Syracuse, Brighton Hill Pediatrics staff members are saying they’re seeing a virus with a fever and sore throats. Other kids have strep throat. Pink eye is also going around and allergy symptoms are making others miserable.
In Cicero, it’s colds and coughs right now. Little kids are getting croup and older children, laryngitis. Dr. Terasaka is also seeing allergy symptoms with chronic nasal congestion and sinusitis.
In Liverpool, Dr. Dracker checks in with Coxsackie virus, allergy symptoms, and infants and young children have roseola, a virus that causes a pinkish, red skin rash and a fever.
The Urgent Care in Fulton is treating a lot of cases of upper respiratory infections, along with step throat and poison ivy.
In Fayetteville, Living Proof Longevity is seeing an upper respiratory infection with a cough and fever. Strep throat and allergies are causing a dry cough and a post-nasal drip.
In Pulaski, Dr. Carguello says he’s also seeing an upper respiratory infection.
And in Auburn, coxsackie is going around, along with a virus that causes a cough and sore throat and allergies.
