Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Viruses, stomach bugs, strep throat and tick bites have been sending Central New Yorkers to their doctors.
Camillus: Dr. Rovall says the summer virus season has begun. There is something going around that causes a fever, headache and sore throat. Other kids have Coxsackie virus, called hand foot and mouth disease, it is marked by blisters in the back of the throat.
Brighton Hill Pediatrics: Coxsackie virus is also going around to the South of Syracuse. Doctors check in with a stomach bug too.
Liverpool: Dr. Dracker says he is seeing a virus that causes a fever in babies. He also says sore throats are going around and he's checked many tick bites.
Pulaski: Dr. Carguello says many people have been coming in with tick bites. He is also seeing cases of the stomach bug.
Fulton: The Urgent Care checks in with strep throat, pink eye and allergies.
Auburn: Doctors are seeing sore throats, both strep and viral, upper respiratory infections and allergy symptoms.
