Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- If your child has tiny blisters in the mouth, hands or feet, they have “What’s Going Around.”
As we check in with doctors, Dr. Rovall in Camillus says she’s seeing lots of kids with the Coxsackie virus, also known as hand, foot and mouth disease. Other children have croup and swimmer's ear is starting up. If your child is susceptible, she recommends drug store ear drops to dry out the ear after swimming.
It’s a similar story in Liverpool. Dr. Dracker is also seeing the Coxsackie virus, swimmer's ear and sore throats.
In Syracuse, Brighton Hill Pediatrics checks in with Coxsackie virus and strep throat.
In Cicero, a virus is going around with a high fever, sore throat and headache. Dr. Terasaka says some kids also have laryngitis. He’s also treating swimmers ear and bug bites.
In Fulton, the Urgent Care reports Coxsackie virus and pink eye.
And in Auburn, lots of sore throats, both viral and strep, are going around, as well as the Coxsackie virus and an upper respiratory infection.
