Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- Just about everything is Going Around in Central New York. Local doctors are seeing everything from coughs and congestion, to bronchitis and allergies.
Let’s begin in Liverpool. Dr. Dracker says there’s an upper respiratory infection going around that has kids coughing and congested. He’s also seeing bronchitis, allergies and pneumonia.
Pneumonia is also going around in Camillus. Dr. Rovall’s Office reports they just diagnosed three kids with bacterial pneumonia. Symptoms of pneumonia include a cough, fever and extreme fatigue. Another thing doctors in Camillus noted seeing was the stomach bug.
Now to Cicero, where Dr. Terasaka checks in with coughs and congestion. Sore throats have also been common – viral, not strep – and kids with allergies are having a tough time right now.
At Brighton Hill Pediatrics in Syracuse, the same cough is going around, also a virus with a fever and sore throat. Some kids have even been seen with strep throat.
In Auburn, strep and viral sore throats, bronchitis and ear infections are What’s Going Around.
And finally, in Pulaski, Dr. Carguello is seeing upper respiratory infections, the stomach bug and viral sore throats.
