Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- The first case of flu tops What’s Going Around this week.
At Summerwood Pediatrics in Liverpool, Dr. Dracker says a patient came in very sick with a fever, severe headache and dehydration. She tested positive for the flu. All of the patient’s siblings were vaccinated and Dr. Dracker has reported the case to the county health department.
Summerwood Pediatrics is also seeing children with the stomach bug and kids with allergies and asthma.
In Cicero, Dr. Terasaka says a virus that causes a fever, sore throat, cough and vomiting has been going around. Dr. Terasaka is also seeing kids with sinus problems and asthma flare-ups.
In Camillus, Dr. Rovall reports seeing kids with rashes. Dr. Rovall said the rash looks like little red pimples all over the body. Coxsackie virus is also going around, as well as the stomach bug.
At Northeast Urgent Care in Fayetteville, upper respiratory infections with a fever, cough and congestion are going around. People with allergies are also having a tough time.
