East Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - April break seems to have given children time to get over most winter illnesses, our doctors offices say things have slowed way down. Still, a nasty stomach bug is going around in a few communities.
One of those is Camillus, where Dr. Rovall's office says children are sick for three to four days with vomiting, diarrhea and stomach pain. They're also seeing some strep throat and children with asthma are seeing flare-ups with the chance of seasons.
In Liverpool, Dr. Dracker says the stomach bug is also going around, along with pink eye coughs and kids with allergies are suffering.
In Cicero, they're seeing lots of kids with allergy symptoms. There have been several kids in the office with ear infections and reactive airway disease.
In Syracuse, Brighton pediatrics says it's pretty quiet, just some babies with ear infections, and some children with allergy symptoms and rashes.
In Pulaski, Dr. Carguello's office is checking in with upper respiratory infections sinus infections and allergies.
And in Auburn, strep throat is going around. They're also seeing sinus infections and bronchitis.
