The swine flu is finally winding down around central New York; sore throats are What’s Going Around.

In Cicero, Dr. Terasaka is seeing strep throat; Fifths disease, upper respiratory infections and rashes.

Sore throats are going around to the south of Syracuse, but the doctors at Brighton Pediatrics say they're viral, not strep.  They're also seeing pink eye.  Some kids have a fever, and no other symptoms.

At the North Medical Urgent Care in Liverpool, they're seeing sore throats, upper respiratory infections, earaches and coughs.

Strep throat is going around in Auburn; they're also seeing bronchitis, ear infections and the Coxsackie virus.

In Camillus, Dr. Rovall is still seeing a few swine flu cases, though it's really tapering off, also rashes and Fifths disease.

What’s Going Around is our way of letting you know what illnesses are out there.  Your own doctor can tell you about the best treatments.
