East Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - It's called coxsackie virus and it's What's Going Around.

In Camillus, where Dr. Rovall says even though coxsackie is known as hand foot and mouth disease, the type she's seeing is just in the mouth children have blisters in the back of the throat. Other kids have swimmers ear.

In Syracuse, Brighton pediatrics also checks in with coxsackie virus, but there's another virus going around with fever, vomiting and headache. They're also seeing allergies.

In Cicero, coxsackie virus is at the top of the list, along with pink eye and rashes.

In Auburn, it's sore throats, both viral and strep, also rashes and bronchitis.

And in Pulaski, there's a stomach bug going around. Dr. Carguello is also seeing poison ivy and upper respiratory infections.

What's Going Around is our way of letting you know what illnesses are out there. Your own doctor can tell you about the best treatments.
